Golden Ear Award for H300
We are very proud to announce that the Hegel H300 integrated amplifier have been awarded a 2013 Golden Ear from The Absolute Sound (Issue 235). Let us quote from Neil Gader and Kirk Midtskog; "The greates tribute I can pay the Hegel H300 is that in all the hours I've spent with this amp, I've never wanted to shut it down". You can find a link to the review here, or purchase and download the Golden Ear Issue here.
New distributor for The Netherlands - GP Acoustics
We are happy to welcome GP Acoustics GmbH as the newly appointed distributor of Hegel in Holland. GP Acoustics GmbH is probably better known as the parent company of KEF loudspeakers. We very much look forward to working with the wonderful people from GP Acoustics and to hearing our gear even more with KEF loudspeakers. KEF and Hegel have proven to be a very good match and have been sold together by dealers all over the world. Find contact links here.
Munich High End Show 2013
The Munich High End show is just around the corner. This is probably the most influencial show on the planet, if you are involved in the audio industry. Hegel will be there, both as the chosen electronics in several rooms, but also with our own big display in Hall 4 (F07/G06). We will show our entire range of products, including a few new pieces. Rather than the regular audio presentation we will display our products in various modern configurations. We will show how you can easily use our products with the most modern streamers and other devices.
First details about the HD25
As promised, we would like to tell you something more about the HD25 DAC that we're planning to put on sale pretty soon. Of course it will be a 32-bit digital-to-analogue converter with all the features that you have seen in our previous High End models. But there's more. If you are using more than one digital source, naturally you have to change the input in your DAC from time to time. In HD11 or HD20 you needed a remote control to do this, but now it wouldn't be necessary anymore. The new HD25 has a front panel which responds to the touch of your finger. Touch it twice and the source will be changed immediately. It's as easy as a double-click on your mouse or touchpad in your laptop. It means that you have access to the control of your DAC without the remote and better still - there no ugly buttons on the front of the unit. We think it's very cool and today - very innovative as well.
