Can the Hegel H1 mk4 be used with other CD-players than the Hegel CDP2A
mk2?
All the different Hegel units has got a neutral sound signature, so that they can be used together with
other high quality audio units from different manufacturers. However we recommend you to listen to a
combination of a H1 mk4 and a CDP2A
mk2, since this combination has
got a very high performance
level.
Is the Hegel H1 mk4 true balanced?
The balanced inputs of the H1
mk4 are as all the other Hegel units using true electronically balanced inputs.
Is the Hegel H1 mk4 using an
active preamp stage?
The preamp stage of the H1 mk4
is using the same high quality
active preamp stage as the Hegel
H200. The preamp technology
comes from the P2Amk2 preamp.
This solution is a better
solution than the passive volume
stages normally found in
integrated amplifiers.
Can the H1 mk4 input source selector
and volume be controlled from the remote control?
The H1
mk4 source selector and the
volume can be controlled from the remote control
RC2.
Is the patented SoundEngine amplifier
technology used in the Hegel H1
mk4 ?
The H1 mk4 is using the
new and improved version of the patented
Hegel SoundEngine technology
used in the H200 amplifier.
What is the power consumption of the Hegel H1 mk4?
Because of the SoundEngine
technology used in the H1 mk4,
there is no need to run a high
bias current in the output stage
of the amplifier. The H1
mk4 will as all the other Hegel
amplifiers use a minimum of
power in standby mode when it is
not playing music. The H1 mk4
will use about 30W of power in
standby mode, less than a normal
light bulb.
What is the difference between the
H1 mk4 and the H200?
The main difference is that the
H1 mk4 has got less power
output than the H200. The H1 mk4
is using the same new and
improved SoundEngine amplifier
technology as the new H200, but
the H200 has got twice as powerful output stages and a substantially beefier
dual mono power supply. This gives the H200 an even better resolution, dynamic range and power control than the
H1 mk4. The active preamp
stage of the H1 mk4 is the
same as the preamp stage in the H200.
