Swedish magazine HiFi & Musik is the H20 and P4Amk2 10 out of 10 for sound quality in a group test of pre-/power amplifiers. The Hegel set is the only one to receive this high number. Competitors were from Marantz and Primare.

Norwegian magazine Hjemmekino became the first magazine to publish a review of the Hegel H20 power amplifier.
